Thunder RP is a FiveM roleplay server born from a simple idea: bring back the roleplay of the old days, with today's systems. This page looks back at the V1, which opened in April 2025 and closed on 13 April 2026.
A year of development, a year of life
The server took about a year of development, started in 2024, before opening in April 2025. It then ran for about a year, until the V1 closed.
Over those twelve months, Thunder RP averaged 12 players, with an average of 6 businesses active over the period. Every job and every activity on the server was built in-house, and development never really stopped: the server kept evolving throughout its entire lifespan.
The city and its institutions
Part of the day-to-day roleplay revolved around the structures that kept the city running: the LSSD (Los Santos Sheriff's Department), the San Andreas Government, SAMS for emergency services, and the Route 68 Garage on the mechanic side.

A year of events
The V1 had its own stories and its own nights out. Here are the moments that marked it, in order.
Los Santos Karting Grand Prix
April 9, 2025 - 9 PM
A few days after the server opened, a 5-driver karting race on karts customized for the occasion. A tight race from start to finish.
Triad Records opening
May 26, 2025 - 9 PM
The opening concert of Triad Records, at 8083 Vespucci Blvd. in Los Santos: a night of music and dancing to launch the venue, $50 a person to get in. Originally announced for May 23, the night was ultimately pushed back to the 26th.

Triad Records - The Blowout Night
June 20, 2025 - 9 PM
A special edition at Triad Records: a rap opening act, a pop second act, $75 to get in. The venue's second big night.

Night on the coast
July 8, 2025
An impromptu night on a coastal beach that ran into the middle of the night under the neon lights.

The nuclear convoy
July 9, 2025
A military transport of nuclear material escorted near Fort Zancudo, through the mountains. Roads cut off, checkpoints, armed surveillance: the whole trip plays out through negotiation and tension.

The tornado
July 29, 2025
A fully scripted weather event: a tornado sweeps across the state and leaves damage in its wake, all the way into the city.

The ZEVENT on Thunder RP
September 6, 2025
In support of ZEVENT 2025, and with the agreement of the SOZ (ZeratoR's RP server, ZEVENT's co-creator) who had the official t-shirts, Thunder RP featured them in-game: an ultra-rare t-shirt on one side, and a version available to all players on the other.
Available from September 6 at noon until Sunday at midnight.

San Andreas Rally Tour
October 22, 2025 - 9 PM
A rally across the entire state, hosted by Delamoule and streamed live. Starting line at Maze Bank Arena, with a $30,000 cash prize on the line.

Thunder Z
October 31, 2025 - 9 PM
A one-night Halloween takeover: a zombie outbreak with its own mechanics, loot drops, and a scripted ending, over a month in the making.

DJ set on Cayo Perico, under the snow
November 19, 2025
A DJ set on Cayo Perico, the island covered in snow for the occasion. Glow sticks, party hats, and a dance floor that held up until late in the night.

The Election Debate
December 15, 2025 - 9 PM
A public debate between the two candidates for governor, Clinton Moore and Jonathan Whitford, at Maze Bank Arena, broadcast live by Weazel News.

The Lara Donatelli case
December 16, 2025
Unrelated to the election, the Los Santos courthouse convenes the day after the debate for a case involving Lara Donatelli.

Between the big events, the V1 also had its nights out, its ceremonies, and its little habits.

For the holidays, the city dressed up: garlands, reindeer, and sleighs above the highway.

Under the hood
The server ran on a heavily customized QBCore base, with scripts custom-built for jobs, the economy, and activities. Development was continuous: every event and every new activity required its own layer of code.
The end of the V1
The V1 ended on April 13, 2026. It was closed out by a finale event, Thunder RP V1: The End, a fully scripted night that fractures the V1's universe.
